Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for recommending, coordinating and managing Origin and Cause vendors to ensure quality and consistency while partnering with various internal departments.
  • The Fire Consultant is responsible for handling a caseload of complex, high exposure property and general liability claims throughout the claim’s fire investigative life cycle.
  • This position requires a high level of knowledge in the technical area of Fire Investigation as it relates to Origin and Cause Investigations.

Key Requirements

  • 5 years of hands-on experience investigating fires and explosions
  • IAAI-CFI or NAFI-CFEI certification required
  • Fire Science Degree or equivalent Fire Service or Law Enforcement experience
  • Experience investigating fire claims for insurance companies
  • Experience with litigation strategies
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Experience in training/instruction of staff
  • Computer skills in Microsoft programs
  • Strong court testimony skills
