Job Summary

  • The Lab Phlebotomist performs positive patient identification and the collection of various laboratory specimens in an outpatient setting.
  • Receives and inputs specimen information into laboratory information system and conducts patient/client registration as necessary.
  • Every effort will be made to collect specimens in the least traumatic manner to both child and family, to include attention to age-appropriate child life issues and pain control techniques.
