Key Requirements

  • Coding Certification (AAPC or AHIMA)
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management
  • 7 years' experience inpatient coding
  • Advanced proficiency ICD, CPT, HCPCS
  • Advanced knowledge medical terminology, anatomy, physiology
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, reading comprehension
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
