Job Summary

  • The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works as part of an inter-professional team to provide efficient, high quality, cost effective care in the outpatient clinic setting, telehealth visit, and occupational medicine.
  • Obtains patient history and performs assessments using interview, observation and physical examination and orders and interprets diagnostic testing as needed for patient care and provides direct patient care and management of health conditions utilizing prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekend and holiday coverage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program
  • Licensed in the state of practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner ANCC/AANPCP Certified or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC/AANPCP Certified and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC/AANPCP Certified
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
  • Eligible for Prescriptive Authority
  • Licensed in the state of practice as a Physician Assistant
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification
  • 3 years’ related working experience
