Key Requirements

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 2 years
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology
  • Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety
  • Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills
