Otis Elevator Co. is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee US and Canadian indirect tax filings and ensure compliance across various jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and strong technical skills, particularly in tax concepts and accounting software
Job Summary
The Tax Manager will report to and assist the Senior Tax Manager in the preparation and review of diverse US and Canadian indirect tax filings including Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax and Canadian GST/PST returns, to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Perform the necessary tax research to accurately respond to field personnel tax inquiries and assist the tax team in the compilation of data necessary to support tax planning strategies which reduce or mitigate tax.
