Key Requirements

  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification required
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
  • 5+ years of inpatient hospital coding experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or High School Grad with coding education
  • Two years of coding education including anatomy and pathophysiology
