Amentum is seeking a Generator Mechanic to support their Operations and Maintenance Support Services contract in Iraq. The role involves maintaining and repairing diesel generators from various manufacturers, with a focus on safety and compliance, while working in a challenging environment

Job Summary

  • Responsible for maintaining all prime power and portable spot generators made by various manufacturers with capacities typically ranging between 20kW to 1600kW or larger.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, repair, installation, and modernization of all stationary diesel engines for prime and emergency power Generation.
  • This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, requiring willingness to deploy to Iraq for extended periods.

Key Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ experience in maintenance and repair of diesel generators
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid passport with minimum 18 months remaining
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certification as a Diesel-Powered Generator Technician
  • Possess or able to obtain MRPT or US Government clearance
