Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Registered Veterinary Technician licensure in California
  • 3+ years veterinary clinical experience
  • AVMA-accredited degree preferred
  • Dental prophylaxis with radiographs
  • IV and urinary catheter placement skills
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
  • Laboratory skills including cytology and Idexx equipment

  • Fear-Free and low stress handling techniques
  • Ultrasound-guided cystocentesis experience
  • Compassionate demeanor with animals and clients
  • Strong pharmacology knowledge of dosages

Key Requirements

  • California RVT license required or eligibility within 3 months
  • Minimum 3 years of veterinary technician or assistant experience
