Key Requirements

  • 1,500 hours total aeronautical experience
  • 500 hours powered fixed-wing multi-engine or single-engine turbine time
  • 250 hours command on fixed-wing aircraft OR 250 hours command (up to 180 hours ICUS) and 500 hours as co-pilot
  • Australian CASA ATPL (A) or CPL (A)
  • CPL holders require passes in all Australian CASA or NZ CAA ATPL subjects
  • CASA Multi Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with 2D/3D Instrument Approach endorsements
  • Current MEA Instrument Proficiency Check
  • Level 6 English Language Proficiency on CASA licence
  • Current CASA Class 1 Medical
  • Eligibility for ASIC and AvSec security clearances
  • Valid passport with at least 12 months’ validity
  • Legal right to live and work in New Zealand without restriction
  • Non-NZ/Australian passport holders must hold NZ Permanent Residency
