Job Summary

  • It’s the mission of the NC Department of Transportation to connect people, products and places safely and efficiently with customer focus, accountability, and environmental sensitivity to enhance the economy and vitality of North Carolina.
  • This position performs technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as construction inspection, surveying, materials testing, materials sampling, erosion control inspection, and construction traffic control audits on assigned projects.
  • The successful applicant is expected to safely work high above ground, be proficient in record keeping and engineering testing equipment, and may be required to work occasional nights, weekends, and snow/ice events.
