Job Summary

  • The Pfizer Payroll Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate execution of all payroll activities and operations for assigned payroll cycles/populations.
  • This role requires working in the Costa Rica office 2-3 days per week or as needed by the business and is not remote.
  • The position involves collaboration with multiple teams including People Experience, Legal, Finance, and vendors to ensure payroll and system integrations function properly.

  • Payroll processing and validation
  • Audit compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley adherence

  • Payroll claims and repayments management
  • Use of MS Office applications
  • Hybrid work arrangement in Costa Rica office

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with WFM and E-Time systems
  • Knowledge of Workday, ADP, SAP HCM systems
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field or associate degree with 4 years experience
  • Experience in Payroll, Accounting, or Human Resources
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Work authorization to work in Costa Rica
  • Certified Payroll Professional or similar designation (preferred)
