Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Assist veterinarians during procedures
Handle and restrain animals
Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas
Clean and sterilize instruments
Educate pet owners
Place IV catheters and draw blood
Run in-house bloodwork
Take x-rays
Maintain patient records
Prepping and reading cytology
Clean cages and facilities
Comfortable working with cats and dogs
Comfortable around blood and surgery
Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-have
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year experience as a veterinary technician/assistant
