Job Summary
The Technical Officer (TO), Polio will support the implementation of the STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Activity in areas related to polio eradication, including surveillance, laboratory strengthening, and case detection.
The TO will contribute to in-country implementation by providing technical support to regional and country teams, helping to address operational challenges, and assisting with the adaptation of interventions to evolving epidemiologic contexts.
S/He will support effective communication and coordination with donors and stakeholders—including the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD), UNICEF, CDC, national programs, and GPEI technical groups—ensuring that STRIDES’ contributions are well-documented and aligned with broader global health security priorities.

Key Requirements
Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent
6+ years of relevant experience
At least three years of relevant experience in public health
Experience with polio eradication programs
Proficient experience in current polio eradication
