Job Summary
Operates the WFU Police department communication systems, working rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and is subject to hours beyond or outside normal scheduled shifts and short notice or emergency call-in.
Responds to emergency situations by contacting various local and on-campus emergency departments and agencies, and monitors multiple security and alarm systems.
Accurately records all events and activities during each shift utilizing appropriate forms and computer-aided dispatch in accordance with Federal/State laws, University Policies and Departmental rules and regulations.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D with three years related experience
Proficiency with multi-line telephones and multi-channel radio equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet
Ability to think quickly and make sound logical decisions
Must qualify for North Carolina State DCI computer network certification
Ability to complete First Aid, CPR and Blood-borne Pathogen Training
Meet North Carolina Standards and Training Commission minimum standards for sight and hearing
