  • PATH seeks a Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for the STRIDES Project to support and strengthen surveillance, detection, and analytical capacity of infectious diseases across human and animal health.
  • Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day implementation of surveillance activities, leading development and coordination of surveillance activities, and providing technical oversight to country-based staff.
  • The role requires expertise in epidemiological and laboratory surveillance for zoonotic, epidemic-, and pandemic-prone diseases, as well as outbreak investigations at national, regional, and international levels.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree or its International Equivalent in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine or related field
  • At least 5 years of international experience in surveillance systems
  • At least 3 years of experience managing USG-funded projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in zoonotic diseases, surveillance systems, and outbreak investigation and control across AMEE
  • Experience leading national and regional infectious disease surveillance projects
  • English proficiency required
