  • Perform maintenance or construction work under the supervision of a foreman or supervisor, supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program.
  • Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on buildings, systems, equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure, including major overhauls.
  • Responsible for leading and overseeing work by Utility Technicians, assisting in day-to-day operations of a large maintenance crew, and potentially filling in for the Preventive Maintenance Foreman.

Key Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Five years of facilities maintenance experience
  • Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Experience with fuel oil fired combustion appliances
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Proficient in LOTO procedures
  • Knowledge of electrical safety procedures
