Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure assigned systems within adult correction facilities are safe and efficient.
The role requires a Journeyman level skill set in General Construction/Carpentry and proficiency in at least one additional trade such as HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.
Employees will supervise a workforce of semi-skilled and unskilled inmates to assist with the completion of various construction and maintenance projects.

Experience supervising semi-skilled and unskilled inmate labor
Working knowledge of building design and systems maintenance

Documented knowledge of new construction practices
Experience estimating building materials for renovations
Proven computer skills for work order processing
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors
Knowledge of sustainability and efficiency planning
Key Requirements
Valid NC Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days
High school diploma or GED plus two years progressive experience
EPA Type I, II, III, or Universal certification may be required
