The position is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care including systemic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management according to the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
The role requires close collaboration with Heart & Vascular Surgeons and Cardiologists to deliver acute care services in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Candidates must possess current BLS and ACLS certifications along with specific Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification approved by the State of Texas.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
CVICU RN or NP experience required
At least 3 years CVICU RN experience preferred
Collaboration with Heart & Vascular Surgeons
Performing arterial line placement procedures
Central line and pulmonary artery catheter placement
Nice-to-have
Experience working in rotating holiday shifts
Commitment to creating compassionate patient experiences
Willingness to serve as preceptor and mentor
Interest in participating in research projects
Key Requirements
Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by State of Texas
Current State of Texas professional nursing license
ACNP certification from ANCC, NCC, AANP, or AACN
Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience in intended practice area
