Job Summary

  • The Operation Theatre Nurse will be responsible to support the Medical Doctor in charge of OT and to ensure adequate standard of nursing care in the operation theatre.
  • Ensure that surgical policies and procedures are adhered to in relation to operations and correct procedures are followed in the checking of swabs, instruments, needles etc.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training in nursing procedures in the OT to staff nurses and CCA’s when required.
