Job Summary

  • The Mate will direct crews in the operation of a vessel and ensure the maintenance of the ship and safe delivery of passenger/cargo.
  • Inspects vessel to ensure standards of maintenance, cleanliness and Transport Canada Maritime Safety and Security are maintained.
  • Conducts and oversees vessel drills such as Man Overboard, Fire-fighting, Lifeboat and Rescue Station drills and Maritime Security drills.
