The State of Maine is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Counselor I to work within the Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened. The ideal candidate should have experience in vocational rehabilitation, strong interpersonal skills, and preferably fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Job Summary

  • This position will provide Vocational Rehabilitation Orientation for new clients and conduct outreach to clients, families, schools, employers, providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with intake appointments, gathering and entering documentation into the case management system, and facilitating workshops and trainings for clients.
