  • The Professional Development Education Nurse Specialist develops tools, theories, skills, and knowledge to advance the practice of the learner based on the Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards.
  • Assesses and analyzes the education needs of all levels of nursing and other patient care staff in collaboration with patient care leadership and makes recommendations regarding priority programming.
  • Designs instructional systems and acts as a consultant to nursing and other patient care services to meet competency needs, age-appropriate patient/family care needs, and other learning needs related to functioning within their job descriptions.
