Job Summary
The Veterinary Assistant supports and assists the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians, ensuring the safety of pets and clients, and the continuity of quality veterinary care.
Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing exam rooms, obtaining patient information, calming and restraining pets, monitoring vital signs, and providing client education.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with a certificate from a NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program and one year of pet care experience being preferred.
