Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional designation in B.C. or eligibility
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Proficiency with SAP 2000, MIDAS, LS-DYNA
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Nice-to-have

  • Concrete dam design experience
  • Seismic assessments and performance based design
  • Canadian Dam Association guidelines knowledge
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate staff
  • Experience with spillway and intake design
  • Penstock and lined tunnel design expertise
  • Dam safety reviews and regulatory compliance

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional engineering designation in B.C.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Eligibility to apply for designation within one year
