Job Summary

  • Provides professional advice and technical support on all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters to meet stringent internal policies, legal responsibilities, and best practices.
  • Bridges site-level technical execution with regional risk management, ensuring refinery operations comply with Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental standards while promoting a "zero incident" culture.
  • Administers and monitors workers' compensation claims, acts as a liaison between healthcare resources, insurance carriers, and management, and ensures site environmental monitoring is consistent with applicable jurisdictional compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial or refinery area
  • Risk management and process safety experience
  • Education in Safety, Environmental Management, or Technology and/or equivalent experience
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or actively working toward
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Industrial, refinery, and emergency response experience
  • Experience with Canadian environmental compliance requirements
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Ability to utilize technology to streamline EHS processes
  • OFA Level 3 First Aid preferred
  • Ability to travel on occasion (including international US travel)
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
