The Research Assistant will be responsible for performing day-to-day operational activities of the VCHRI CRU Biobank, supporting researchers in collecting, processing, and storing biospecimens.
Key responsibilities include managing databases, creating and updating SOPs, ensuring proper specimen handling, communicating with patients for consent, and preparing specimens for transport.
This role requires adherence to strict regulatory guidelines including UBC Clinical Research Ethics Board, B.C. Privacy Act, Health Canada, ICH, GCP, and FDA regulations.

Key Requirements
Relevant technical program or university degree
Minimum three years of related experience
Certificate in Venipuncture
Experience with open specimen
