The Inpatient Social Worker: Psychiatric functions within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to provide patient care and supportive services that are directed at achievement of patient care outcomes.
Inpatient psychiatric social workers practice with adult or adolescent patients admitted to the Harding Hospital psychiatric inpatient units who have been hospitalized for debilitating or dangerous psychological and/or behavioral issues.
Psychiatric Inpatient Social Work duties include completing comprehensive mental health & drug and alcohol diagnostic assessments utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and ICD-10.
