The Administrative Specialist III reports to the Executive Director of Business and Industry Center and is responsible for receptionist and clerical duties, coordinating office activities, preparing special reports, maintaining class files, performing general purchasing and human resource duties, maintaining schedules, calendars, and rental agreements, overseeing the inventory and M&R process, and developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by supervisor

Job Summary

  • The Administrative Specialist III reports to the Executive Director of Business and Industry Center and is responsible for receptionist and clerical duties, coordinating office activities, preparing special reports, maintaining class files, performing general purchasing and human resource duties, maintaining schedules, calendars, and rental agreements, overseeing the inventory and M&R process, and developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by supervisor.
  • This position provides receptionist duties including answering the phone and front-line customer service, performs clerical duties including typing staff meeting minutes, assisting the staff as needed, printing certificates, and assisting instructional staff with printing, binding and other class preparation services.
  • The role also involves creating class files, maintaining data files and records, performing general purchasing and human resource duties, maintaining the master calendar, and overseeing the M&R process for the center.
