Job Summary

  • Lead, Coordinate and supervise implementation of WASH activities in Daru Urban, Forecoast, Oriomo Bituri and Morehead LLG’s of South Fly District.
  • Conduct technical assessment of the capacity of community WASH Officers to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Represent the district program in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene sector coordination meetings and forums.

Key Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Environmental Health, Clinical or Public Health, Water Engineering or Social Sciences
  • At least two years hands on experience in rural or peri-urban public health or WASH programs
  • Project coordinator or project manager role experience
  • Registration with national engineering or public health body
  • Program management experience in international organization
  • Capacity building experience in sanitation, Hygiene and or public health
  • Project management cycle experience
  • Donor reporting and communication experience
  • Community Let Total Sanitation (CLTS) or rapid rural appraisals experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel) experience
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English
  • Excellent computer skills in MS application
