Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Execute test runs on water cooled and air-cooled commercial chillers
  • Work safely with 460V/3ph/60Hz electrical equipment
  • Maintain EPA certification for refrigerant handling
  • Identify failures in PLCs, VFDs, or instrumentation
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment for pressure temperature flow
  • Manage high-pressure pumping systems and cooling towers

Nice-to-have

  • Proactive problem solver in complex high-speed environments
  • Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment
  • Ability to independently perform loop tuning
  • Proficiency in LabView or National Instruments systems
  • Functional understanding of PLC diagnostics

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • 2+ years experience with hand/pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling mandatory
  • 5+ years experience in Chiller/HVAC operations or laboratory environment preferred
  • AS or AAS in Mechatronics Engineering Technology or formal Skilled Trades Apprenticeship preferred
  • Comprehensive awareness of High Voltage and Arc Flash protocols
