AgeCare Wesbury is seeking a full-time Recreation Worker to plan and facilitate recreational activities that enhance the well-being and engagement of residents in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and relevant educational qualifications in recreation or therapeutic recreation
Job Summary
The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs a variety of meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits which promotes wellbeing, purpose, creativity, a sense of community, lifelong learning, and fun.
Assists in development, planning and implementing daily recreation and leisure activities, both in the home and in the community, using a collection of holistic resident information and choices, and in a manner that reflects AgeCare’s philosophy and approach to resident programming.
Prior experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-term care setting.
