Job Summary

  • As a member of the interprofessional team, the Registered Practical Nurse (CUPE), Palliative Care and Complex Continuing Care, will work closely with the team in providing care to medically complex and palliative patient population.

Key Requirements

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
  • Current BLS certification
  • Previous experience in a medical/surgical environment
  • Recent Palliative and Complex Continuing Care experience
  • Palliative Care courses preferred
  • RPNAO membership is preferred
  • Excellent physical assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
  • Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
