The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Ecohydrology to establish a research program, teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses, and mentor students. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in ecohydrology or a closely related field, with a strong record in research and publication

Job Summary

  • This position will establish an innovative, dynamic, nationally-recognized research program in ecohydrology; develop grant proposals and secure funding; publish in peer-reviewed, nationally recognized scientific journals; recruit and mentor graduate students; serve as an advisor for undergraduate students; and coordinate or contribute to cooperative research efforts by faculty and other stakeholders in the region.
  • Teaching duties will include undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in watershed management and related courses in support of the program.
  • The tenure-track, 12-month position will carry the rank of Assistant Professor with an approximate appointment of 70% research and 30% teaching.
