Job Summary

  • The specialist is responsible for assisting group leaders and team members with repetitive and chronic equipment problems.
  • Assist Weld Shop with HMI and PLC modifications with existing and new equipment, assist production with new model teams and improve shop efficiency through breakdown recovery and countermeasures.
  • Train team members on new equipment and new technology including PLC and specific machine operations.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
  • Experience with SAP system preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (preferably Allen Bradley, Logix/Studio-5000)
  • Experience with automation, design, installation, repair of equipment and Robotics
