Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for their inpatient pharmacy. The role requires assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing, and it involves a day shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays
Job Summary
Aids pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of patient medications, sterile products, TPNs, non-sterile medications, hazardous medications, and ADC medications and supplies, and ensures the delivery of these medications to nursing units.
Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of and compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards and other regulatory requirements, which allow safe and accurate preparation and/or compounding of unit-dose medications.
Participates in training new employees in the main pharmacy and limited specialized areas (when appropriate) and participates in the peer review process.
