Key Requirements

  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) use within 90 days
  • High School Graduate
  • 4 years security or public safety experience or 30 credit hours in Criminal Justice plus 3 years work experience
  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within two years
  • Completion of State of Illinois 20-hour or 40-hour Basic Security Officer course

Work Rights

Must have required Illinois firearm and security certifications and valid driver’s license
