Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.
  • Essential duties include maintaining employee records, completing monthly nursing schedules, coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage, and consulting with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning staffing needs.
  • The role requires the ability to cope with mental and emotional stress, work harmoniously with personnel, and relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile people.
