Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • A Class surface mould cavities and cores polishing
  • Hardened tool steel polishing techniques
  • Emery cloth to diamond pastes
  • Operate hand grinder/polisher
  • Disc grinder and other grinding devices
  • Polished plastic injection molds and components

Nice-to-have

  • Assist with Co-Extrusion die component polishing
  • Work well around mould parting lines
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulics
  • Awareness, Unity, Empowerment culture

Key Requirements

  • Ontario Certificate of Apprenticeship (Mould Maker) highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years mould making experience
  • SPI surface finishes with expert abilities in A1, A2 and A3
  • Competent to achieve all SPI surface finishes
