Job Summary
This job responds to assigned departmental maintenance needs and is responsible for the execution of repairs or replacement of affected equipment in assigned areas.
The incumbent must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, and carpentry while utilizing specialized test equipment.
In the event of severe weather emergencies or disaster, personnel will be assigned a work area and remain onsite throughout the duration of the event.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Valid driver's license in state of residence
Experience with hand and power tools
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, carpentry
Ability to work on-call for emergencies
Working knowledge of building codes and JCAHO standards
Nice-to-have
Healthcare experience preferred
Trade school or company school education
Strong interpersonal skills with can-do attitude
Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
Self-directed ability to handle mental stress
Key Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years of experience in Commercial, Industrial or Hospital Maintenance
Completion of Ochsner Apprenticeship program as alternative
