Manage and optimize Linux environments (RHEL, Oracle Linux)
Server installation, configuration, and maintenance
User and package management on Linux systems
Monitor system performance and resource utilization
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions
Configure and maintain firewalls and security tools
Shell scripting and automation (Ansible)
Manage LVM and file systems
Work with virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, KVM)
Work with containerization (Docker)
Conduct system security audits and ensure compliance
Support production Linux server infrastructure
Support over 300 Linux servers (Level 2 role)
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of SCOM and ServiceNow
Continuous service improvement initiatives
On-call availability including weekends
Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders
Maintain system documentation
Key Requirements
Experience supporting production Linux server infrastructure
Experience configuring network interfaces and troubleshooting network issues
Experience with shell scripting and automation tools
Experience managing storage (LVM and file systems)
Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies
Experience in system security auditing and compliance
Experience in a Level 2 role supporting over 300 Linux servers
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
