Job Summary

  • The Histology Technologist 2 - IRP provides histological services to the dermatology department physicians performing MOHS surgeries.
  • The Histology Technologist 2 – IRP will be responsible for processes involving tissue embedding, sorting, cutting, and staining slides of tissue samples for diagnosis by physicians and surgical pathologists.
  • Additional duties involve general paperwork, equipment maintenance, assisting with quality control and assurance metrics, procedural audits, accreditation preparation, training and troubleshoot both mechanical and human errors and/or malfunctions.

  • Obtains certification within two years of hire
