Job Summary
Teledyne Judson Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop, and characterize packages and integrated dewar cooled arrays for infrared detectors.
The successful candidate will be well versed in Solidworks and Ansys, and can prepare, generate and analyze structural, thermal, and vibrational simulations.
The ideal candidate has significant experience in ultra-high vacuum processing, including but not limited to loading and unloading devices onto a vacuum manifold, getter activation and degas, pinch-off, and leak check.

Structural, thermal, and vibrational analysis

Mechanical design and analysis

Photodetectors/cameras experience
Optical design/modeling
Laser welding and metrology
Zemax familiarity
ISO and/or AS9100 knowledge
Key Requirements
M.S. or Ph. D degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
>15 years of directly related experience (>10 years for Ph.D)
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated detector packaging with emphasis on vacuum Dewar design
Significant experience in high vacuum processing
Experience with laser welding and metrology
Experience with design/modeling and simulations in Ansys and Solidworks
Experience with GD&T (General Dimensioning and Tolerancing), ASME Y14
