Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this role is to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of nursing staff and in accordance with established standards and facility policies.
  • Essential duties include accurately preparing, administering, and documenting medications, reporting errors and reactions, verifying resident identity, and following procedures for self-administration and medication destruction.
  • The position requires a licensed Medication Aide with a high school education or equivalent, the ability to read and interpret technical procedures, and the capacity to solve practical problems and deal with variables in a healthcare setting.
