Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides nursing staff support in the areas of patient care delivery, clerical functions, and organization of the unit environment, as well as set-up and maintenance of equipment.
Essential duties include responding to patient calls within 10 minutes, anticipating patient needs, performing essential skills such as vitals, hygiene, and assisting with mobility, and ensuring a safe physical environment.
The role requires documentation of all care provided, effective communication with patients and staff, and adherence to regulatory agency guidelines for unit readiness and patient confidentiality.
