Your responsibilities Strategic responsibility for purchasing and position management of green coffee from Latin American countries of origin, in particular Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, etc. Managing and implementing sustainability and quality objectives in the supply chain (e.g. direct sourcing, certifications, traceability) Establishing and maintaining long-term, trusting partnerships with producers, cooperatives, exporters and other relevant market participants. Representing the company at producer visits, trade fairs and international events Responsibility for budget planning, forecasting and purchasing contracts Coordinating with logistics, quality assurance, the sales team and futures to ensure timely availability and deliveries Market observation and risk management with regard to price developments, harvest conditions, political framework conditions Information gathering; Assist in data collection, storage and management using excel and Power BI. Travel within the region will be required at times. Monitor global coffee markets, including weather conditions, supply and demand dynamics, and macroeconomic factors that may impact pricing. Analyze market trends and price movements to identify trading opportunities and support informed decision-making. Execute futures trades (buying and selling contracts) in a timely and accurate manner in line with trading strategies. Manage trading risk exposure by implementing appropriate hedging strategies and adhering to risk limits to minimize potential losses. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including physical trading, finance, and risk teams, to align trading activities with overall business objectives. Your profile 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Green Coffee Industry, preferably in LATAM coffee origins. Good understanding of Regional and Global Coffee Supply & Demand and Cash & Future markets.
