Job Summary

  • In cooperation with other members of the department clinical staff, an Ochsner Staff Physician will provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner’s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence.
  • Examine the health of a patient to help make proper diagnosis of clinical conditions and prescribing medication, treatments, and follow-up care as required.
  • This position involves the handling of hazardous drugs and/or hazardous drug contaminated products either through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste, including contact with patients who may receive hazardous drugs.

  • Board certified or eligible in physician’s primary specialty
  • Licensed Practicing Provider MD/DO
