The role requires planning, developing, and directing the infection control program in accordance with current rules and regulations for nursing care facilities.
The incumbent must monitor infection control practices to ensure all personnel implement standard operating procedures for tasks involving exposure to blood or body fluids.
Responsibilities include preparing monthly summaries of resident and personnel infections and participating in government agency surveys and inspections.

CDC OSHA regulation compliance
aseptic technique supervision
epidemiology and microbiology knowledge

experience with TB management programs
Key Requirements
Nursing Degree from accredited college
2+ years experience in long term care
Current unencumbered active RN license
Current CPR certification
Maintain good standing with State Board of Nursing
