Job Summary

  • The Infection Control Preventionist is responsible for implementing and coordinating the program of infection control in accordance with established standards to reduce the risk of endemic and epidemic hospital associated infections.
  • Responsibilities include serving as a consultant, establishing and evaluating policies, researching and implementing tracking systems, and planning educational programs.
  • The role requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent, experience in epidemiologic principles, and a Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 years.
