This role supports the design, administration, and continuous improvement of GM’s U.S. benefit programs, with a focus on life insurance and voluntary benefit programs.
Key responsibilities include program operations and governance, case/claim/appeals support, vendor/TPA management, data analytics, compliance, and stakeholder partnership.
GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and more.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or related field
5+ years of experience in employee benefits
Meaningful exposure to Life and AD&D / survivor benefits
Strong understanding of eligibility rules, plan documents vs. SPDs, and payroll/HRIS interactions
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated collaboration with HR, Legal, vendors/TPAs, and union benefit representatives
