  • This role supports the design, administration, and continuous improvement of GM’s U.S. benefit programs, with a focus on life insurance and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Key responsibilities include program operations and governance, case/claim/appeals support, vendor/TPA management, data analytics, compliance, and stakeholder partnership.
  • GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and more.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits
  • Meaningful exposure to Life and AD&D / survivor benefits
  • Strong understanding of eligibility rules, plan documents vs. SPDs, and payroll/HRIS interactions
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration with HR, Legal, vendors/TPAs, and union benefit representatives
